ok i just bought a 90 DA integra from a guy here in georgia the car started up just fine it ran for about thirty miles and somehow the timing skipped any ideas on how this might have happened the car did sit for about a month or two well and to find out there is a b18b1 head on a b18a1 block would that cause any problems?
also it will start if i barely give it any gas but once it gets up to about two thousand rpm it starts to really back fire i would really like to get some answers here thanks in advanced

Of course its possible.
1.) You dont know if the previous tbelt was even installed properly
2.) Or the previous timing belt was so old it was time to be changed.

The risk of buying a 24 year old car... 24 years, that sounds insane doesn't it?

timing belt looked brand new like i said in my first post the car started up just fine ran for about thirty mins and it started bogging down to the point i could not get over forty miles per hour so i will redo the timing tomorrow and see what it does thank you guys i really thank you for the answers

Yeah I'm guessing it wasn't installed correctly. Probably did not have enough tension on it. Timing slipping, power reduced.

welll the verdict is in got the valve cover off and timing belt as well got the brackets for the cams off went to pull the exhaust cam off and low and behold the cam was snapped the head is shot so there in lies my problem lol thank you guys for the help that you have given me also to find out i had a set of crower cams in the trunk i bought this car for 600 dollars it cam with those hasport mounts and a full coil over suspension full cold air induction and some kind of stage three clutch i think i made out like a bandit

Not if the parts are all low quality junk
