You don't have to buy a component set for the back just because you have one in the front.
tweets is just short for tweeter, a tweeter is a type of speaker.
You'll probably want an EQ, but it's not a necessity.
Don't worry about breaking your windows with bass, it won't happen.
Will the sub box fit? Beats me, you'll have to break out the ol' tape measure and find out. Or just ask him if you can put it in your car to see if it'll fit, because you won't want it if it doesn't, of course. The sub box may make you rear end sag a little bit, put it in there and see, measure that too.
What is that first picture a picture of? What's the blue thing?
Are you getting the subs and the box for $75? Or the subs for $75 and the box for another $75?

i got the kit that lets me have an eq in the setup

so that's what i meant then the original link i posted for the two jl audio speakers i would have to get one of those with the component set to replace all the speakers in my car?

honestly i don't know what it is
it was sitting in the corner there were four in all one on each side of each speaker.
he said something about making the quality sound better.

im getting the subs AND the box for 75(custom built box)
BUT he said i can take the subs out and purchase a different smaller box for probably around 75 retail.

i dont really know hence why we gotta measure
i think its a 30 by 9 or something
there's alot of insulation in it.

no no and no

and he said i would need an amp to properly run the speakers
i figured that already.

jeez if my credit card gets approved im ...... HA

I don't understand what your asking.

And your right, don't get a capacitor. They're a gimmick.

I like the capacitor they do work thats why you see em in comp. cars.. but if you listeten to rock or something that doesent have a pause and give the cap. time to store the energy it needs then your right it wont work properly. too bad you dont live close id drop ya off a amp lol ive got a few any where from a 100w up to 1000w.

im with barry on this. capacitors are junk. if u want something that helps get a 2nd sealed battery. ive been doing audio installs for years now and basically capacitors are just for looks with led's and voltage meters on them.

would the component set cover all the stock speakers in my car?
No, just the four front speakers. Your GSR has a component set in the front as stock equipment. The tweeters are in the top front of the door panels, the mids are in the bottom front corner of the door. So buying a component set, which will come with 2 tweeters and 2 midranges, will only replace those four front speakers.

Competition cars are the only place capacitors belong. They're great for SPL vehicles that are simply going for maximum decibel numbers. They let out a blurp, get their peak DB, then the caps are drained and useless until they get recharged. For a real world system, a person doesn't max out their volume for a few seconds, then shut the system down to allow caps and batteries to recharge. In a normal system, the stereo keeps playing after the cap has been drained, and then it's just a drain on the entire electrical system while it tries to recharge, it's taking away power from the amps that they could be using.

i guess its a matter of opinion but... i like em. and i know they make a small diff. its not huge, but a stero capacitor as with any capacitor..ie on electric motors, just store energy when its not needed and release it when it is. so once the bass hits imo its just a better deeper thump.

stupid moment:retard:

How many are in the back then?
i really thought there were only two
i gotta get the acura back and out of that rav4

alright i guess since you've been doing installs you know prices pretty well.

i guess i didn't want to do this all at once but the opportunity has come up

the guy that i was gunna buy the mtx subs from has a friend who did his mustang for like 500 im not exactly sure whats in it but it sounds good and looks good
he has 2 subs an amp and speakers.

so here's the question
the guy says he can do my WHOLE system for 750

Speakers+Amp+Subs+Deck+Wiring+labor=750 i might be able to get him down to 650(he says)
personally i thought jl audio speakers were good but he says he puts in top quality and better then Jl Audios

so that kind of makes this a pointless thread if i do it sorry

sounds like a gimmick to me-well more like a crap load of stolen stuff.
how much would a full system usually cost?

There isn't a component set in the back, just one speaker on each side.

Is your car a 2 door or 4 door?

We don't know if it's worth it to get all that stuff installed for $750 if we don't know what all the equipment is (we need brands and model #'s) and what condition it's in.
I can tell you the shop I used to work at would charge about $300 labor to install a radio ($50), one amp ($100), one component set and one set of coaxials with all the speakers hardwired ($150) (hardwired means running all new speaker wire and not using the Integra's factory speaker wire, which is really thin). So, is the equipment worth the remaining $450?, we don't know.
It must be a 5 or 6 channel amp you'd be getting in this deal if your gonna run all the inside speakers and a sub off one amp. Or is the amp just for the sub, and the inside speakers will be running off the deck?

Beware of used speakers that are coming out of doors, sometimes they get wet in some cars and the terminals and speaker basket can rust up, get mildewey, and the speaker cone may be rotting.
