i think mine has kicked in before that but i have a new problem...
GREAT!
i dont know if thes whole thing is linked together
but my engine temp isnt warming up
it goes up about a quarter of the way
and will go back down
???

stock gsr vtec engages at 4400 rpm and the secondary butterflys open at 5600-5700rpm. tempeture will also effect vtec engagement.

GSR hits VTEC at 4400. Secondary butterflies open at 5800.

RSX-S is 5800

It switches the runners in the intake manifold from the low RPM, torque producing, long runners to shorter runners to aid high RPM HP

how or where do i check that?

i toke it to an auto shop today
they charged me 165 just to tell me my cat is bad and o2 senors are fine,
and it would be 450 for a new one =[
but i reset the ecu and the vtec code isnt coming up anymore
and they said if it comes back then i have a problem
but nothing yet
hopefully!

woah woah, back up, they said it would be $450 for a new cat!!!....there is no way its that expensive
