Thanks, I'll just stick with 10w30 then.I use 10w-30. Most will suggest using thinner oil such as 5w-30 or so, but I've been using 10w-30 in all my vehicles for years now. Really not that much difference between 10w-30 and 10w-40 though.
The K&N has thicker walls and can withstand higher pressure. They have an anti drain back valve. It has a nut built into the back of it so if it is stubborn to remove, it makes it easier. It has a pre-drilled hole for a safety wire if you run on the track. It has a bunch of other technology that makes it better than the others. I spent a lot of money on my motor and in my opinion it is well worth $9Yea just hand tighten it......i wouldn't waste money for the k&n oil filter either......my filter come off no prob by hand
