if its a vr-4...thats only a 14 second car.....but youll still lose.

you can kinda keep up until you reach 4th gear. a friend of mine drives one. he pulls away slowly at higher speeds. you can try removing weight. other than that there's little much you can do.

lol i had a 94 ls i/h/e/gsr tranny and pulled on one
bad he had a friend in the car and i had 3 people in mine
you'll win

and i raced another one with just me in the car same for him and i pulled so
you'll win unless you mess up

make sure when you both run, its on an isolated road. Keep it away from rush hour traffic or traffic for that matter.

you'll win. not to get all technical with 3000's.. but i used to have one. it was a 94 base.. which is pretty equivalent to an sl. if i remember right (keep in mind i have a gsr now.. out of the dsm phase.. hehe) the 97 bases/sl's have the sohc v6 rather than the dohc v6 in older 3000gt's.

long story short, my 3000gt would only pull on an ep3 (civic si) on the highway. that was when his ep was bone stock. i beat stock ep's in my stock gsr. his stock ep did well against my 3000, which had mild cams and valvetrain work.. and exhaust.

drive well, you'll win. i have a gsr now and i used to have a 3000, trust me.

i almost got a red 96 vr-4 before i got my teg
vr-4 are so fast, its like 13.7 stock car, twin 9bs on v6, that weights 3200ish pounds
but an sl has v6, a little bit built compared to the base, but its still so slow cause it weights 3200ish pounds
you should be able to run him, if you know how to drive

agreed. i had a 265whp '91 talon tsi awd that could *just* walk a vr4. those things are awesome cars.

this 97 sl does have the dohc its not the sohc like the base models. im not gonna lie he gives me rides all the time and his gt isnt slow. but then again he can barely drive stick ; )
