gsr turbo issues

Im thinking its either a 2 step or rev limit.
Or worse it could even be detonation or ignition blowing out.

Who knows with a street tune. Does the tuner know what hes doing? What has he done to troubleshoot this? What do the plugs look like? What are they gapped at? Have you tried disabling VTEC and making a pass to 7-8k?

we have tried disabling vtec and it still wouldn't rev past vtec engagement then he did something with the fuel table and it will rev to the rev limiter but still wont cross over ill send you the tune if you don't mind taking a look we did load my old dyno tune on it from my old setup and enabled vtec it would rev up all the way with no issues the tuner has 2 ls vtec drag cars that run low 10s and he tuned them both himself so im assuming he knows what hes doing ive known him for years

OK 1st question - do you have a wideband? 2nd question - Are you using it?

On both the low cam and hi cam fuel maps there are obvious issues where the fuel values DECREASES as RPM increases. Its clear to me that the engine would hit a wall when it ran across those cells.

For example - If you were making a pass at WOT as the engine reached the engagement point (4800rpm x 0.4psi load) on the low cam map the fuel value is 1200. The same corresponding cell on the hi cam map is 881. So lots more air but 30% less fuel. Oops

yes I have a wideband its wired right to hondata also so that buddy tunning it could monitor it while I focused on driving

i know nothing when it comes to tuning i build the car and pay someone to tune it but i will bring this to his attention we were by no means done tuning the car i think he was more focused on trying to get this issue figured out so do you think this is the cause of my problem definetly something that needs to be fixed regardless

If you could send me a log of when it occurs I could be more sure.

well we were able to get the car to crossover into vtec were having new issues of the car not reving past 5 k runs perfect up to that rpm though idles alittle rough so first thing I started looking at was ignition while I had the car running I pulled the plug wires 1 at a time to see if the engine would run rougher wires 1 and 3 seemed to have little to no affect while 2 and 4 made the engine almost die the next day I started it up to do more investiagating and noticed my afr went from a 14.6 the previous day to a 10 this time did the same thing pulled plug wires 1 and 3 both at the same time and left them unhooked looked in the car and my afr was back up to 14.6-14.8 why would it run leaner with 2 plug wires not hooked up it should run richer dosent make sense to me hopefully someone can shed some light on this would really like to get this thing tuned and done

I dont know whats going on with your spark plug wires but pulling them should obviously cause a big change during idle. You need to inspect your ignition system. Replace the cap and rotor. Measure the ohms of each spark plugs wire too. If you also test with fresh new spark plugs you can easily tell which ones arent firing. They will be clean and wet with fuel, not brown and dry.

wires were checked they were ok but I also tried 2 different sets no difference swapped dizzy no difference just put new plugs in it today gapped to 28 thou I took the plugs out of cylinders 1 and 3 after it had been running for a few seconds couldn't smell any fuel on them at all next I will be pulling my rail and inspecting the injectors and rail this car has been boosted for 2 years now that I put this gsr in its been nothing but issues

Swap the injectors around, see if the dead cylinders follow the injector.
Also do a compression test, make sure you cover all the basics.
