Gsr stuck in neutral!

Okay so I just bought a 1999 Acura Integra GSR with Type R internals. My problem is when I bought the car everything worked fine. 2 Days later I was on the highway I shifted to 5th Gear and it kept popping right back out. I knew I had to drive it home Immediately. Right when I got near my house I tried to shift to 4th gear (It was hard but it went in) then I slowed down to like 0mph. so I tried starting with 1st gear. went in 1st gear but car wouldn't move. It felt like if the E brake were on. Stuck in 1st gear got my friends push it a little bit and it popped back into neutral. From neutral, car kept shutting off. When I let go of the clutch just like any other Manual Car, It would stall out.From there I tried to put it into all my gears, wouldn't go into any of them. It was stuck in neutral. I was so upset I just let go of the clutch and pressed on the gas pedal. IT WAS DRIVING ON NEUTRAL? went to about 60 mph. Brand new motor, tranny, clutch. Does anyone have any idea on what IS HAPPINING? took me forever to save up for a Very clean integra and this is what i get. $12,000 cash for nothing.

$12,000???? wow must be a really clean teg! If your shift linkage is coo, then your tranny is fuked!

Clutch may not be new as they said my red DC did that yesterday as I was taking it to shop to start swap. I had to force it in gear hard then my clutch disc broke rest of way as I pulled inti garage. If its popping good chance its low on oil. B and d series manual Trans use 2quarts on non synthetic oil ie 10w30 id start there then check clutch. People will say anything to Make a sale and u paid a shit ton of money. Way more than u should unless its a true Itr or Jdm car

what ^^^ is saying sounds right.. I had the same thin happen on my old VW golf... (I know it is a different car but engine tranny layout are very similar)after separating the tranny from the engine I found the clutch disc had pretty much shattered. & it was either in neutral or in gear like OP was saying & would pop outif I actually got the car started...

Regardless you are going to have to get in there and inspect the clutch.. trying to run it any more and you risk grenading your tranny if you haven't already...

When i first got my db2 i had the issue where it would pop out of 5th.. Ended up having the tranny mount bolt loose. Fixed that and it was good as new. Sounds like you may have more problems than that but its worth checking out at least.
