Any Synthetic oil is good, but I fully understand using regular if your motor blows a quart a week.

There's decent regular, like Quaker State or Valvoline....and then there's Walmart and Dollar Store regular, lol.

GM Synchromesh is the only way to go. That shit works wonders
i want to, but that stuff isn't cheap, i jus need to change the tranny oil since its been like 2+ years... and its over due for a oil change

It makes such a difference though. Worth it IMO. DSM's hate to be quickshifted even if you're tranny is brand new. With GM in it, doesn't mind one bit.

Me and my friends just pitch in and buy big cases of it. Sit down and do the S2K, RSX and my car at the same time

haha sounds tempting, i might as well... only way to purchase them is from GM dealers right? but if i dont get the syncromesh, is the 5w30 okay for the gsr tranny?

not good to use normal motor oil in your tranny. u WILL notice shittyness. i know people can sit here alll day to argue with me, fact is they are formulated quite differently additives, friction modifiers and such. OEM or synthetics for me.

i use ROYAL purple 5w30 in my gsr
