Greddy turbo kit/ intercooler and no tune?

This is how I think of greddy turbo kits. They are what they are. The systems above you named all have slightly bigger turbos which is why they yield more power. I like to think I can make the same ammount of power as those system but with more pressure. All I want is RELIABILTY kit. Then from there I will build power. Greddy comes with emanage specificly made for their own kits which I like. And to top it off, I checked with a local shop and they are asking for too much $ for other systems.

if your going to stay auto id say go supercharger. if not go ahaed and get the kit, but get it tuned. tuning makes the wole difference. did you even look into getting something done by a localshop? sometimes you will get etter prts for less. or make a kit by buying all the parts you need, you will probably save money if you shop around
I whole heartedly agree with you, and everyone else for that matter, that the tune is necessary. And that he can save money piecing a kit together.
If you do piece it together, get a stand alone, dont even waste your money on a piggy back system. I believe that the Greddy e-manage is still a piggy back of sorts, the unit for DSMs is. Go AEM or have an ecu chipped. I know a guy with some p28s ready to go. It just saves time and hassle in the end.
But why go supercharged if he stays auto? An auto car can be tuned right and never drop out of boost between shifts. Isnt that covering the advantage that the supercharger has, the quick power increase. You dont have the lag? I still dont understand why you would say supercharge it if he decides to stay auto...
