got my first ticket today

i got my first ticket today the cop said i was driving 57 on a 30 mph road. he didnt mark how he detected me
on the ticket can i use tat againts him in court and how much will the ticket be i dont know wat how they add it up. i live in missouri sedalia

It didn't say on the ticket how much it was for or how he got your speed? Thats wierd ! Anyways if he/she didn't tell you how you got caught speeding or the damage of the ticket the cop was probably a rookie and that was probably one of thier first tickets also. That sounds crazy. There are many ways for them to tell how your were speeding with out a radar, they probably just paced your car and estimated how fast you were going. If anything contest it at court 8 out of 10 times the cop doesn't show up. But if you see him I wouldn't contest it. But try to investigate how much the ticket is for and how he recorded your speed. Just call the station ( not 911) and give them your ticket number because usually any ticket or citation a cop gives out he has to put it in a report for records.

By the way I am an ass. I am so sorry that you got your first ticket today that really blows donkey dick dude. But all alliteration aside (lol) sorry man !

57 in a 30mph .. maybe about 300+

my first ticket was for doing 82 on a 55 it was $375

nah, $300 ur crazy.. i was doing 78 in a 55 and i was 16.. $100, $50 ticket (1st offence) and $50 court cost becz i was underage.. also in ohio if ur under 18 and caught doing 21 over u lose L's for 30 days, and if ur 31 over u lose them for 90 days.. i think 2nd offence thecost is doubled and u have to retake u temps and drivers test.. but thats 2nd offence.. so ur probably looking at like $100 - $200(max)...

I just got a ticket for 86 in a 65 and it was $255. It all depends on where you get the ticket and how rich the area is you got the ticket from. Like the area that i got my ticket is really rich.

not that im braggin but ive been driving for two years and still haven't got a ticket. (and i have done some fast and crazy driving)

i have a question. How do people get caught speeding. i don't really see how they get caught because i always see the cops first, but most of the time when a cop is close i have some reason to do the speed limit. i mean do people go out on the freeway in the middle of the night and speed and get caught? how do they get caught?

i was driving at one night too and there was a cop on the other side of the street goin the other way. that god i decided to take it slower through the intersection because it took me a while to realize it was a cop car. he was just puttin through the intersection and i decided to slow down before i ever saw the cop. i slow down when i go through intersections a lot if i feel its needed.

i dont know wat to do either i go to court and tell them im not guilty, (the cop didnt mark the the box how he detected my speed) but the ticket will be put on my record and my insuarance is going to go up
or i dont show up to court and pay the ticket, and take traffic skool so that the ticket doesnt go on my record
wat are my chances of winning in court?

(the cop was going opposite direction, it was night dark outsied, and he didnt mark the the method he used to detect my speed) in missouri small town sedalia

Mine was at night and he was over the top of a hill. double wamy. I had a real bad day that day and needed to get to school. That day sucked, royally.

yea it sucks getting a ticket Im going to have to pay around 300 hundred I think. I could've buy exhaust system or something
