Got in a wreck today :(

this has happened to me twice.. on the same car. my 91 Si.

first the left. turned me right into a curb. fukked up lower tie rods, bent wheels, bent fender, ruined axle. replaced what broke.

then the right. turned right into oncoming traffic. broke that tie rod, bent fender, ruined axle. replaced what broke. luckily there was no cars parked or no oncoming traffic mid-day.

its scary when it happens but hell, i was into cars way back in the day. ive fixed so many of my cars when they were down and out (and im not talking about ride height and wheels). sure its depressing but if youre a real enthusiast, this wouldnt stop you. if it was totaled, then yeah. it would be understandable if you want to start over.

When was I bitching? I'm 18, don't have a job and going off to college in a few months, so excuse me if my hands are a bit tied right now.

I got this car to be a DD, I was done with project cars, and I needed a break from that. You guys are the only ones bitching, this is a car forum where we talk about cars. Which is all I'm doing. I don't remember where the FAQs said this site offered self help.

Damn when did everyone on CI decide to hate?

I don't really care for any of the site drama, but you guys are being a tad cruel. It was his DD, and now he doesn't have a car. He needs a car to get around, therefore he doesn't have the time to fix it. I'm sure some smartass is gonna quote me and say "ride the fkin' bus."

But honestly, not everyone here is in the most stable financial situation. I can't pump any money into my car, hell I can barely afford regular maintenance because my family is pretty f***ing poor. We have around $30,000 in debt we owe to family and friends from 4 years of just s*** luck. We run bills month to month. My mom decides to start up a clothing store in 2005, and two months later my dad gets laid off. Store also falls through the s***ter, dad's unemployed for three years. Then we move to f***ing Vermont 'cause my dad gets a job. Plus we're putting my sister through college. Only reason I even have a car is 'cause my cousin had the teggy around and didn't need it, and he thought I could use it. We still drive a rusted to hell '99 Plymouth Grand Voyager cause we can't afford a new car. Everyone's got a unique situation, so before you start flaming them for not wanting to fix up their car, or (and reasonably so) coming on here for a bit of sympathy and advice, find out what's really going on. We're all human, it would be nice if you guys treated everyone like that.

@superhypered I try my best :/ Idk I guess I had to type up that rant 'cause I know what it feels like to not have the money to get s*** done that you want. Plus I hate people who can't step to someone's level and try and understand what's up.
