good turbo build?

block guard, water meth is a waste of cash that could be spent elsewhere... Aries pistons are some of the best and about the same amount as wiesco. Supertech ret are the same price as KMS and there the same quality, and sometimes you can get a package deal if you buy both sets. If you want a good turbo get a precision 6262 spool quick and will pull all the way to redline. Something that spools as early as you want will not last to 8k but if you want something that will spool pretty quick a T3 off a valvo or saab but wont make much power up high, the A/r is to small.

Ok so this was driving me crazy why are you so worried about the air intake temp? Are you trying to make it ice cold or something? If you have a good intercooler you shouldnt have to worry about that as it should bring air temps down alot. Are you not getting it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing? fill us in here

Im doing water to air intercooler and meth I don't know why that would be a bad thing. Doesn't it just mean i can run more whp with out problem? Im going aries or wiesco pistons that's easy. Rods is where im haven a problem. I don't like the idea of putting china made rods in this build. So i have been thinking scat or k1 rods. More on the k1 idea since there part of wiesco. Another spot im haven problem with been reading a lot not finding what i want to know. Will it be OK to run gsr cams with b16a2 valve train up to 8500 or should i get super-tech springs and retainers? Im looking for 350 whp here min and max of 450 whp. I would like some room to play around.

I got the msd stuff because my factory honda dist with 20k miles on died and i hate factory parts. Have you even heard of a power grid before it just came out. And meth kit is 50/50 water and meth and its only 300 and i want to cool the air temp down. Other wise i was going to water to air cooling setup witch i still am thinking about. Even my dsm was hiting boost around 2500 and pulls tell 7600. I know bigger motor. but i would like to try to find a turbo that could be around 5 psi at 2500 min
if you want to cool the air down, use an ice box. Sounds like this is mainly a track/show car so an ice box would be a good thing to consider at least

For that power goal, any head upgrades are unnecessary. and id recommend Eagle rods, its what most people use and they hold up perfect.
A intercooler is waaaaay better than a aftercooler.... why would you want you 180 degree coolant "cooling" your intake air?....
Meth injection is to get higher octane with out using race fuel. if you want the reliable side of injection side, then you want to just do straight water injection which again is still completely useless on your low power goal. Its meant to reduce the chance of detonation, which if you get a good tune should never happen.

eagle rods are just fine.. I make over 700whp on my gsr stroker in my drag car and have seen them hold 900 but dont know if I would do that... most anything is made in china or most parts are made in china and just put together in the us.... Anyways if your dead set on getting meth kit just do it but just know its a wasye of money... Ford parts are made in Japan

Even if i didn't use the water to air cooler i would still use the meth kit with the air to air cooler.

I understand that meth is for big power motors but just becaue im only planing on doing 350 to 450 wheel dosen't mean it won't up at all. Ok i will go with eagle rods with weisco pistons. I was trying to do a sleeper turbo car thats one reason i didn't want front mount.

use the front mount and paint it black. Function > Form.

For 350-400 meth isnt needed at all. Go talk to your tuner and see what they recommend

Is there any where to buy end tanks for intercoolers online? I have as intercooler thats made for 450 wheel but needs end tanks on it. Any one know good tuners around spokane wa my tuner is in yakima wa so its not like i can just go talk to him in his shop.

just get a godspeed intercooler and call it a day. itll do the job fine. At 350-400 you dont need a fancy ic, its definitely not going to make or break your build.

I have a intercooler at one of my shops that just needs end tanks if some one knew a good place to order those i could just finish that intercooler. Would a gsr head on a b16 block be a good idea for turbo build? Or would the springs and retainers be worth the swap in to the b16 head?
