Didn't you just buy the head?I'm really leaning towards an issue with the head. There is a LOT of valve train noise, and it makes the most sense. Hope that's all it is, at least.

He was expecting 200, and said it was pulling enough fuel to make that. Oh well, time to probably pull the head again, and bring it to a different shop.

With those injectors that you mention above giving it 180 give or take but leaning in the 170ish. You will be max out. with higher then 310cc I can see 190ish on a good tune.
