Theres a thread back on Honda-Tech on Satin Black paint jobs.. well one of them was cleared and it just doesnt look right! ur using a flat color and giving it a glossy look.

Yeah I know about it. I was going to order my paint from a company called Hotrod Flatz that sold many flat colors and flat metallics. I was originally going to order Daytona Blue Pearl Flatz but decided to go with black. They also sell the flat clear, but like I said.. I really didnt like how it turned out.

Heres an Ebay (Link), basically you sand it and respray. Look at the middle of the page for color selection. I personally like Gunsmoke, Hotrod Black, Daytona Blue Pearl, and Carnival Red Pearl.

** update ** 6/14/2008

So I was gonna wait until the 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach meet to put up pics but I had a change of heart.

** Note, gotta readjust the bumper again **

**The TR lip and Comptech lip**

Due to the hot ass heat we've been having... I was hopefully gonna leave the comptech lip on but decided on puttin the TR lip back on...
Ok, when I first got the lip it was folded and instruction read to leave in the heat for 15 min. So I did and only really took less than 5 to become flexible. Well without thinkin... ok if it takes that long to flex what would happen if it was on the car during hot ass day?? well guess what? it would look like this.. keep in mind Im using double sided tape on the lip.

I'm loving that paint...I saw an S13 on the Super Street Mag for January and it looks as if the car is just primed but I think the 'no shine' looks is fucking sick it gives it that killer look. props on your car and keep us posted
