You can hold it in gear longer if you manually shift it. Just watch the rev limiter (it's somewhere around 7.3k-7.6k). If you have the throttle mashed, you can shift it to the next gear at 6,900rpm and keep it mashed and it'll shift into the next gear right before redline. Works like a dream.I've been trying both. Not sure which way launches faster. They feel about the same.
I haven't noticed any issues with it. But yeah; that'd be the best way to figure out which one is faster I'm sure.Yeah, although manually shifting the trans is bad for it. I'll play with it at the track and see what yields better results.
I wouldn't run them any lower than 20psi, and since your tires are almost shot as it is, might as well smoke em' up before you get new ones. They wet the front of the track down for that exact reason. Not sure how many passes I'm going to make. I haven't played with pressures yet and I'll attempt warming the tires maybe. These futuras are horrible.
Lol. In that case, I'd start with the happy medium and go with 24lbs.The people I've talked to say 22 to 26lbs. The tires are practically new. They only have 12k miles on them. They just suck. I always smoke them. Lol
Thats about what I was thinking. Proper tires and 93 octane would do even better.I'm just gonna play with it. I cant wait to go. Im gonna say it'll run high 15's to low 16's.
Well, when you get your Fat Fives and Yoko's on, drive your car until it's almost empty, get a 1/4 tank of 93, and run 'er again and see how you do.That would help.
You should.I just might do that.
