yeh, me and my wife tried it on our van. i used speaker phone on my cell tho, so that may have helped even more. but even in theory it sounded right. all your keyfob does is send out a radio frequency. just at a frequency you cant hear. so by putting it up to a phone, your just sending it a really long ways. this could possibly work for a garage door opener too. i'll have to try that later.
