Fuk S-K speed

I brought my b18c1(gsr) block to sk speed about 5 months ago so they can bore it .020 over so i can fit my JE forged pistons with GE rods. It was a one week job at most and they have just been coming up with bs story's every time i have tried to find out whats going on. I ordered my pistons and rods through them and they are telling me i have the weirdest of all honda motors and i can't buy pistons and rods for it so he has to buy ones for a different motor and do all this machine work to make them fit. has anyone ever heard of that ?? because i am pretty sure all i need is 81.5 pistons and rods for my car???

(keep in mind the crank and motor are stock nothing was changed / and they still have my motor i have no idea whats going on, the car was supposed to be ready by the first honda day now the second ones coming and i still don't even have my block) they also plan on making me pay for all this machine work that "needs to be done to make rods fit into this motor" ???????

HELP PLEASE

That I have never heard of, I think they are full of s*** and just want to make excuses to get more money out of you. It should of been a simple bore and hone. Either that or they f***ed something up and dont want to admit that they did it. Speacially since its not a stroker or anything.

Let me know what you find out if you go searching around. I would like to know for when I rebuild my GS-R.

they are cheating you out of money or something...its a usdm motor. parts are crazy easy to get from that motor. i would go down there and get the block the hell out of there ASAP

^ x2 seriously GET IT BACK. I've heard too many of these horror stories on different forums for different cars, different people, doesnt matter, its always the same BS, taking months to do, getting nothing done, making you spend more money money money, it is ridicoulous, you need to find a more legit shop, hurry!

That is what i want to do but don't i have to get forged pistons fitted to the block ??? this is going to be a turbo motor and i need everything to fit right .
I knew he was wrong about them not having parts for that motor (not only have i seen a million different piston and rod combos but i have never heard of anyone having this problem) so i told him do not touch anything until i talk to him again.

What should i do ?

tell him you changed your mind about a turbo set up, too much money... then go somewhere else

He already did the bore though, now i am just stuck in this parts situation if i pull it out now would i be able to just buy 81.5 mm pistons with rods and put them in ? I am afraid the clearance will not be right then i have to go to another shop and pay for the same thing all over again.

I guess my question is do they have to be fitted in ? because he bored it out to 81.5 and if all i need to do is buy matching piston and the spec will be fine then i will go pull my motor out tomorrow

I dont know about that kind of stuff. Did they say they were going to do that? or did they do it without asking?

Get pistons for that size yes.

Unless they are doing something specific to the motor you shouldn't need any special work. Ask them what "exactly" they are having issues with. If THEY bored it and are ordering the pistons they should know exactly what to do. If it's already bored I assume they already know what the pistons are. The only thing I can think of they might have to wait on pistons for is the piston to cylinder wall clearance, but if they already bored it.. I assumed they already knew the pistons, and already knew that number.

he told me the stroke of my motor is too short they don't make parts for it so he has to shave d17 rods down to make it fit, witch makes absolutely no sense , I really hope he didn't some how confuse my motor with some one else s and deck the block and is now trying to cover it up.
