Fuel relay or dizzy problem..?? Help!

Sometimes when I go to start my car, it will turn over and start for a second, then die. When I try to start it again, it will just keep cranking and not start. My fuel pump usually primes, but not all the time- and maybe it cuts off too soon so there's not enough fuel...? To get it to start, I turn the key on til I hear the fuel pump - do that a couple times and USUALLY that will work.... What could this be??
Ignition switch...?
Fuel relay...?
Dizzy...?


Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

check the fuel filter, it could be old and clogged up not alowing enough fuel to keep the engine alive

I forgot to mention that this problem mainly occurs when it's hot outside....

Somewhere in the fuel delivery system you have a issue
