well either this or you can do like they do on off topic and limit a noob to only the newbie section/ thread. this would help with the spamming.

If you repsond to a spam thread, your post will not count. I delete spam threads, closing them just takes up space.

why not just be pro life and give the spammers a special thread...so theycan spam in there...by including the lurker thingy..any messages that get posted upon registration within 10 days or whatever go directly into the spam thread...lol..then after 10..it goes into regular...

We do need a "lurker" period and also something where they can't post in certain sections (i.e. classifides). Most of the spamming is from bots so that's why TI has that math problem.

Alot of members register becaue they want to post right away so I don't want to moderate their posts or make them wait. There is spam control put in place that monitors posts by members with less than 10 posts, I just need to get some better keywords put into it. Feel free to list some words/phrases that most of the spam regards.
