The way I get it off is I put the car in 5th gear and put a screw driver in the top of the rotor so when the engine spins, it turns the axles and the screw driver will catch the caliper and stop the transmission from turning. Works for me everytime.

I bought a 450ft/lb 1/2" gun (or maybe it was 300) from home depot when I did mine and it didnt budge. I returned it and bought the pulley tool. If you get a 3/4" impact, it isnt going to be cheap, and if you dont plan on using it often, I dont see a benefit in having it (considering the cost).

But air tools are always fun :)
also depends on your compressor/tank set up. a small tank/compressor wont let most air tools run to their max ability. i have a 45gallon tank and a crazy compressor

my dad owns a body shop but the car in bfe and i cant even get 5 min down the road with the frikn thing.
