So I didnt actually run the event as I slept till 2 that day (long story to a crazy weekend). But I did do some "fun runs" after the event was over. Much better than the event really, $6 for 3 runs, not bad. So for the first video it was my first time on the course (hadnt even walked it) thats why I was creeping slowly thought the corners. Really for all three runs I was taking it easy and learning the track. Saddly the 1st run I missed 3rd :smackself, I know terrible... The adrenaline of that first run and a hard launch can get to ya. There are more video's, you can see some guy behind my car filming the first run, and the last run he was filming again in front of the launch. I did however get the hood cam video, lame though that it was on my 1st shitty run :(. Oh well. Oh and using a stopwatch and knowing my gear ratios I was going 0-60 in 3.2 seconds

Run 1 Hood Mount (start at 43 seconds to get to the interesting part):

Run 2:

In this next vid watch the cone go flying from the back end of the car slightly kicking out at the 27 second mark, lol. You see it launch just behind the car.

Run three I was getting into the groove. Two more runs and I would have been all out in the corners, you can tell by the times I was just warming up. I started with a 49, then a 47, and finally a 45. To really see it shine though it needs to be on something a bit bigger than a auto-x track. You could see that car would just spool and the front end would rise up and then id have to instantly back off for the turns. Now that straight was balls out, I just didnt use the launch control (dont have a spare rear diff on hand for a just incase, cant lose my DD at school).

Its quite safe really. And your car should do well, but I think your power is going to hurt you in the tight bends. Really its small slow cars like Miata's, Neon's, Mini's, and E30's that do well. But then again it all depends on the course....

Good driving Mark. You need stickier tires for sure. Are there any tracks nearby you? The GD is begging for a proper track.
