call him, meet up with him, and if he refuses to refund your money or at least pay for the transmission, break his fucking knees.

maybe that's a bit extreme. Break his jaw so he can't talk people into bullshit for a little while.
lol yeah, would love to, but rather not go to jail on top of all this shit

lol, unfortunately you bought the car... I dont think the court will do anything for ya.

did you sign a bill of sale?
I know here in GA you can take someone to court over it if the car they sell you is defective and lie about it. My dad took a car back to someone about fifteen years ago after they lied and said it had never been in an accident. after my dad realized it was totalled before(these are the days before carfax  ) we bought it and, and threatened him with court my dad got all his cash back. my dad about beat his ass for that money

My understanding is a bit different. That can be a matter that is subjective to the situation and I would advise reading this
My girlfriend bought a car that had major issues and I refused to help her because of her haste to make the purchase without me there. It can be a pain in the ass to deal with, and assuming you don't have a lot of time on your hands, may be more beneficial to just make the repairs with your money.

PS - I am not the guy that sold you the car
yeah this mans right i found a gsr tranny on craigslist fopr 150 dollars in working order. just search for a deal!

Lancaster..I don't have the title, I am waiting for pendot to mail me it
I'm down in PA as well, Shrewsbury. In PA to sell a car, it all has to be notarized, my advice is sign a letter basically saying the car you bought turbed out to be a lemon, DATE it and then have a notary notarize it. Then if the guy hasnt called you yet, when the title gets in it will have his info, get his info and contact him, if no answer, go to small claims court or something, you don't need a lawyer there.

On a side note, you have to check cars out better before you buy, if it went out that quick there had to be signs.

Feel free to PM me for more help, I know our PA laws pretty well.

the car is 15years old, you cant expect it to be perfect. once you hand over the cash, it's your problem. It sucks but you have to fix it and move on.

Unfortunately... Every car is sold "as is" therefore after you make the purchase its all done and over. Thats why people advise to bring a reputable mechanic when purchasing a used car. Unless if the guy gave you a warranty in paper and you and him signed, all defects are your problem after you buy this car. Sorry dude but like OG said, at least you got a teggy now!!! good luck bro

there isnt really anything you can do unless you got it from a deal all by owner cars sold are "sold as is"
^^ This.

most, if not all, judges will basically tell you tough shit. And Adel...A transmission can just go out. Seen it with my own eyes.

yea a wreck is something hard to hide, they are usually reported anyways. He'd have to probably prove in some way that the guy sold him the car with known trans problems and not telling him.
