that evo -- no BOTH those evos are serious tweakage. nasty awesome. id rather be run over by an evo than be given an sti.

no wait, i could sell the sti to a helpless idiot and use the profit to buy my own evo... yes... :twisted: now all i need is someone to give me their sti...

i would choose an evo over STi anyday, both yours and the veilside are sssssssseeeeeeeexxxxxxyyy, and that civic with the 50ft front bumper is just so... ... ... fuckin ugly

Yes teh Evo Mr has better number by a SMALL margine and is more expensive than teh regular Sti.

there were more evos sold because the evo was a better performer than the sti in the magazine reviews; that's what sold the cars: the perception that the evo is a better value. but dont' forget, the wrx population is massive.

quarter mile times are one thing, but look at the trap speed. the evo's is a good 2 mph faster. a full second faster in the road course. dynoes higher. and please remember: the only real drivetrain mod from the MR to the regular evo is the 6-speed, so expect the evo RS, which is a good 5.5k less than the STi, to be even faster than the MR, thanks to the 5-speed and lower weight.

why even bring this up? are the cars here even remotely comparable to those? no. the WR1 doesn't even have the same engine as the USDM STi. Why not bring up the MR FQ 400? top sti vs. top evo right? let's just keep this USDM man. i'm tired of arguing (across sooo many forums) about cars we don't have :(

well, the sti is faster down low? is that a surprise? it's got a .5 liter advantage. yet it loses 2 mph in the quarter mile? that's ridiculous. and you act as though the STi didnt' get any revisions to the '05 models. the increase in wheel size, the revised steering, the suspension was touched up, i mean hell, those are MAJOR revisions when all considered. they didn't up the price and i'll wager that it'll bite them in the ass when it comes to profits.

both are sexy I know that for sure. Dont know which one I would pick prolly the evo better warranty which means they back there car up more.

fuuckk....i love the evo's....since i got a job, im thinkin into getting one but not sure yet i really want to drop a motor in my hatch....but damn, nice evo!!!!
