i dont know where youre from, but california isnt missouri. We dont have that many rivers to go and float down that are actually fun on tubes. In the last 2 years that the sacramento sherrifs have released statistics, NOBODY has ever drowned. They guess that 10 to 20 THOUSAND people come out on holiday weekends. For only 30 hooligans to ruin it for the rest of us is not only unfair, those 30 hooligans are a burden on the rest of us who enjoy the river and alcoholic beverages responsibly. My friends and i put all our empties back in the cooler.

Again, the drunk driving accidents can happen after drinking ANYWHERE ... so if you think this new law is so great maybe they should ban alcohol sales alltogether on holiday weekends? How ridicilous is that. Those kids who died knew the driver was drinking, and again could have chosen to get another ride or hell even just kicked it at the river for a while till he sobered up. Thats what we usually do.

This law is not only pissing people like me off, but its having a DETRIMENTAL affect on the two raft rental companies, they say that reservations are WAY down.

well we went on the 4th and had an awesome time

met at my house 9 am
met everyone else at winco foods in vacaville at 10am ... proceeded to begin drinking in parking lot
stopped again for gas
dropped a car off at bottom
filled up 13 tubes and some rafts at the air pumps at the chevron on hazel around noon ... 6 sheriffs showed up to kick us out cause the gas station said they asked us to leave when they never did.
got to the river and launched, saw a game warden. This is the last cop we saw all day though
went through the pileons after hazel and 2 people lost coolers and my friend wrapped my dads raft around one of em
we kept it movin and had a great time .... although the guy whos car was at the bottom had to get out at goethe park cause he left the keys topsside
stopped at the gas station on the way home for more beer
got home at 11 then went to the bar and 2 house parties

ive been hungover for 2 days now.
