Well I've used those extractors before and IMO, they suck. I've used just the left handed drill bits to drill into the snap bolt and it works a lot better. But that's just my experience.

Right handed or left handed drill bits work.

The extractor I bought was sized to fit but they are flimsy, even being hardened steel.

Though the size of the bolt is the biggest factor to put into play.

The smaller the extractor the weaker it is.

I've resorted to using a left handed drill bit, larger in fact to drill out the whole bolt since the extractor has been wedged into the center.

I also when with a larger fluted straight extractor which is stronger this time.

My chances of success are slim since it's so difficult to drill out the extractor, which I'm sure has now bonded with the broken stud.

I have so far partially drilled off center and it is inevitable that I have to retap the camshaft to fit a larger bolt.

I am also quite sure I also have to enlarge the center diameter of the cam gears mounting hole.

If all else fails I will have to resort to finding a exhaust cam in Seattle.

Pics for now. My power drill is out of juice and it's back to work.

I also picked up a Fatmax 20v power drill with 35m quick charge, 16 tool large open tote tool box, and 109 bit and drill bit set

Spent around 140 after tax, the drill alone was $80 what a steal with quick charge and 424 ft lb torque.

Not a whole lot but plenty for the price compared to a air compressor impact wrench comes with 380 ft lb at lowest.

Other systems cost $150 alone and offer only a 20-30 ft lb difference.

Well, ebay used oem cams have been ordered for $45 with shipping. Hopefully the cars running by Friday.

For now I will most likely assembly the head onto the car and picked up a junkyard gem from a manual vw passat.

The little black turd was there when I bought the car, I doubt it's oem but it's fugly and it's gone. Yay.

Bored waiting for my damn camshafts, heads on the block, everything's connected.

Should be here by Friday/Saturday if in lucky. I'm guessing Monday at latest.

I appear to have misplaced my powersteering belt. Lmao.

Here's a shot of my 55w hid kit with 8000k bulbs.

I've not yet bolted the headlights in, they are just sitting there.

My neighborhood is thankfully ricer free, so I'm not yet worried about losing my parts.

The light output is still quite white being 8000k 55w.

I did flash my headlights to the neighbors house and it's practically night and day.

The output is immense compared to 35w 6000k I had.

Bet your neighbors loved that, hahaha.
Fuck the neighbors.

The very least they can do is clean up their yard, stop raking leaves into my yard, which they had to toss over a fence, and pick up all the branches laying next to the road they left from selling half their tree for firewood.

Dicks IMO.

They're degrading my property value.

Fuck yea bitches!!! She runs!

It's about damn time. It was a pita trying to tension the timing belt without pulling off the crank but I managed to Mcguyver that sob.

She runs, starts up real smooth and fast.

As of right now removed the throttlebody, been poking around trying to lower my idle.

I'm 100percent sure it's the fitv. So it's removed and dirty as hell.

Car will be reassembled tomorrow morning and I'm going to take her for a spin and chirp some gears.

Idk what the next coming mods will be yet, still working on selling my ef sedan.

But what I plan on doing is fixing all the dents and getting it ready for paint.

Pics to come.

Have had a few setbacks.

I'm going to need to replace my valve stem seals. Hopefully vatozone has some felpros in stock.

It's quite obvious my valve stem seals are bad. Pull the spark plugs, which were new. Covered in oil.

After sitting once all the oil pools in the pan, car doesn't smoke on startup. Let it idle or rev her up and she smokes like a seasoned veteran.

This is quite bothersome.

I know it's not coolant or my headgasket. Just polished my block and head and had a new one installed a few days ago.

I'm about ready to throw a brick into the windshield.

Made a purchase to make my install helluva lot easier.

Waiting for them in the mail as we speak.

Also purchased some speakers, new stereo, and adapters to convert my rear 6x9 to 6x1.5
Half of my speakers are blown and I'm on a budget lol... Waiting for my new job to start mid next week. Will be rolling in money!

Turbo kit by end of summer if I don't go jet skiing or other fun stuff.

I wish my SE was an RS. Down the road I will find an RS roof skin and delete my sunroof. I live in Florida and never use it!

Getting tired of my car smoking like a chimney.

I had a bad feeling about the felpro valve stem seals. Oblong motherfuckers.

I'll have to order some real viton valve stem seals off amazon.

I've traced down my oil burning issues down to 2 sources.

Bad oil rings, or valve stem seals. I'm reaching a peaking point to where this cars going to be scrapped and the engine tossed into a shed for a few years.

Alright. I received my ish awhile ago but I was busy.

4x BOSS 6.25 200w 2-way speakers with covers/wires/mounting hardware.

1x Mechless XO vision stereo with hardware and front sd card/aux/USB ports (who listens to CDs anymore?)

2x 6x9 to 6.25 adapter plates for my rears

First off, the speakers are slim, yet was probably a bad idea but I didn't care. Fitment into the adapters were very poor. Speakers backplate collides into the adapter, I'll have to dremel a larger hole to fit them.

Secondly, all this stuff was $60 with 2 day free shipping from amazon prime (amazon prime is the t***). I'm not audio queen and anything that sounds above average is a plus for me. Music and a stickshift is the only thing that can make an ac-less car habitable. Stockies were blown anyways. Another note, the adapter plates accommodate tweeters ( even though they come these 4 speakers already ) I can max out that range with larger aftermarket tweeters down the road.

Third, supertech viton valve seals should arrive by Tuesday at latest. So for now I have a chimney with a built in stereo system.

I'll check back in on audio quality details and functionally of the stereo. It's midnight and I'll probably get the fronts installed. Idk if ill tackle the rears.

Edit: To my amazement, the speaker wires are already installed with crimped connectors. Ez Pz install lol.

Viton valve seals are here. Woot.

Also scored a pair of dent less but chipped 94 LS fenders with the infamous green every wants.

Sad fact is ill have to destroy the paint to color match it to my white teg.
