What seriously is the difference between the B16A Gen 1 and the B16A gen 2. I want to put a motor in my car but i dont know which one will fit best in my 1992 GS. Because a place wants $700 for Gen 1 and $900 for Gen 2, the only difference i see is the horsepower. What do you guys know?

The only diffrence is just that HP. The gen 2 has a slightly higher compression to get that extra HP. Hope you dont mind me asking but why are you puting a B16 in your Gen 2 teg?

The Gen 2 has a hydro trans, you will need a cable. The 1st will have your cable, unless you do the converison. A lot of times that dosent look to clean when finished. OBD0 to OBD1 conversion isnt too difficult, so dont get too worried about that.

Thats a very simple swap for a G2, can be done over the weekend most of the time. Also is the a motor that originally came in the JDM G2s.

The reason i want to get a B16A is because its cheap enough for me to afford and its a little faster then my 1.8l. My motor is starting to leak a little oil above the oil pan. Also its getting a little too much fuel in the oil. So i figured B16 would be a good one. Why what do you think i should do?

I would rock the B16, he might just be curious be cause of the step down in displacement. They are good motors with tons of potential. Superchargers, ITBs, and internal parts are simple to find. I would do it, but I think I am saving for the ITR swap.
