Ask Him How Fast He Was Going Or At What Rpm Did It Die Out At. B Series Motors Are Good If A Belt Brakes If Your At Low Rpm Then Your Pretty Safe.. Now If He Was At High Rpms Chances Are You Have Damage. My Belt Broke And I Was Doing About A 100 And I Just Slapped Another One On And No Issues....i Love My Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

i had a friend who that happened to in his d16 motor and he wound up bending one valve...the only real issue was he started burning like a quart a week...but i mean you might have gotten lucky. if your replacing the belt go ahead and do the water pump too
