yeah but i'm talking about the inside of the distributor.this happen to to me i bought a use dizzy from craigslist (won't do that again)because the one I had on wasn't for my engine so i swap them and the cl didn't work then i swap out the coil and icm from the old one to the cl one and still didn't work turns out the cl one had bad internals so i swap the internals and it finally work :).

to do that you would have to get a whole new distributor tho.the timing belt didn't skip any tooth's ?
that would cause it not to turn on as well

not that i can tell. there is no spark at all. and the rpm gauge does not respond to the engine spinning

i agree with everybody else, its either a ignition issue or a fuel issue. my car was hesitating and had a nasty idle, so i did a tune up now it runs great

i mean that when i towed my car i put it in gear and turned the key to run and the rpms did not leave 0, even tho the engine was doing about 2k. i towed the car using a tow strap

the rpm might be another issue,which isn't as important as making the car start.check all you're fuse make sure none are blown
