Dead Cylinder

I have a 1990 Acura Integra, all stock.
there is no compression in number 4, and 120lbs in all the others (1,2,3)
I added some oil and ran compression test again, only got 30psi.
I've also been using a lot of oil of late, and the car was running fine otherwise.
I'm thinking head gasket, but would appreciate any advice from those who have experience with this type of thing.

If it was a head gasket you'd likely have contaminated oil. Check the oil for signs of coolant, if nothing is present then a leakdown test should tell you exactly where it's going.

No oil in water, no water in oil.

I don't have the ability to perform a leak down, Either way, it looks like I'm going to have to take it apart to fix it.

Thanks!

its most likely your rings. If you went from 0-30psi the oil is sealing something kind of large.

0-30 psi would be one heck of a bad cylinder/piston/rings. lol

That's about bent valve or improperly set lash low.

yeah but since he didnt mention over revving and its a stock motor you would have to do something real bad like snap a timing belt or something.
