I've just been broke but I sold some of my other crap so I ordered a few parts last week for my teg which wasn't starting till a couple days ago. After checking all the wiring, replacing the plugs and plug wires, putting in a new main fuel relay and dizzy, it ended up being the pickup coil :( anyway it now starts! Every time :D I almost finished my weight reduction. The antenna and rear wiper have been deleted!!! I have my freakin sweet shift boot from PMS ready to go in as soon as my dad gets the car insured and I drive it back down from my uncles and I have my cue ball shift knob on!

I should sell my bug this week and the next round of stuff I'm getting is a 92 93 front bumper, OEM head light wiring stuff (the idiot who did the HIDs before I bought the car butchered them), GSR blades, Ground Control Coilover sleeves, Tokico Illuminas, rear camber kit, and strut and tie bar package! Pics to come once I get the car back wth me here at George Mason

Just picked up a o2 sensor and b18 a1 head with arp studs. Got the head (complete), and studs and a set of axles for $40 :D

Well as of wednesday, I have a huuuuuge coolant leak and I've got an abnormal amount of white smoke so I've decided it's time for an engine swap. I'm buying all the parts right now. I've got the head complete, I've got pistons, rod, arp rod bolts, and a wiring harness on the way. I'm going to pick up a block, oil pan, and crank on wednesday. And I'm slowly finding out what I need for a turbo. I'm pretty sure I'm going ls turbo :)

yeah thats why when i get another da i'm guna stick with the a1 and just use crower parts and do a nice n/a build... i also agree with the post above all motor 300whp may be a little much for a dd id' go for the 200-230hp mark.

I've changed my mind about doing all motor. I don't have the money to do such an aggressive build right now so I'm doing a 7psi turbo on stock internals save for arp head studs and rod bolts

Progress Update: I've ordered b18 oem connecting rods and pistons, arp rod bolts, a b18a1 wiring harness with the ac wires already cut. I'm ordering the egay turbo kit today with everything including turbo timer, inter cooler piping, etc the works. On wednesday, I pick the a1 block, pan, oil pick up and possibly a nicer wastegate with 12 pound spring. On friday I am probably going to pull the radiator from fy friends totaled civic (he got hit HARD in the back but thats good news for me cause the radiator is in great shape). I still need gaskets but my friend works at advance so he gets 20% so im gonna see if I pay him 10% extra if he'll buy everything for me. That way he makes 10% and I get 10% off!

PS: I already have the b18a1 head complete with everything including arp head studs and I'll be swapping over my injectors, intake mani and throttle body

Just a teaser of my shift boot from PMS ;) finally got it installed!!! Pistons, rods, arp rod bolts, block, pan, oil pick up, head, and crank and license plates are in the garage and turbo and wiring harness will be here monday. Build starts monday!!!!

damn....I thought I was going to see a high horsepower N/A build...oh well. Good luck with your build!

Maybe down the road. A low psi ls turbo build is much more affordable than a high compression vtec build haha :lol:

and as for today, I cleaned up my block and pan a bit and found a plug thingy thats got some cracks around it :/ I'll take some high quality pics tomorrow in the daylight while I'm taking pics for my fs thread lol

Waiting for the wiring harness to show up today. Turbo was delayed by fedex till tomorrow because of "weather condtions" wtf we onl got three inches of snow in VA and that was thursday. whatever christmas still came early :D
