i did turbo a lancer, and not swap it. Its harder then you think. you need a motor from an evo u cant use a 4g63 out of a eclipse/laser/talon because the trans is mounted on the wrong side. An evo Motor cost well over 6g's, and good luck trying to find one in the junk yards in the east cost thats close to impossible. also no one makes a mount kit because its only been done twice known to internet guru's. So more time would have to be put into trial and error with build mounts and mounting spots structurally strong also. and as far as tansmission you would need a 3rd gen eclipse transmission to make it work as a fwd car because no one person in the right mind set would do an AWD swap also in a normal lancer because for the price u can buy an evo. it would be pointless ...8urcivic said:you were gonna turbo a lancer? and not swap it?

so before your quick to jump on my for turbo'ing a lancer instead of swapping the motor i thought id explain the situation you would have if you were to do so. If i could go back in time to when i bought it as my first car and as a junior in highschool i would, and instead i would have bought an s14 kouki the lancer you was looking at instead but i cant do that. thanx for listening sry to highjack the thread
