You can wire it into the back of your cig lighter or wire it into any 12v wire.Cobra,escort,and beltronics all sell hardwire kits for around $12 and you'll need a fuse.That plugs into your fuse box and bam done or hardwire it into the 12v wires.Its easy if you know how to splice wires and use e tape.

I'm doing this, but splicing into my map light wires... that way I dont have the radar wire hanging at all. it will have like a 4'' power cord that runs into the ceiling.

It would be pretty cool if you wired it to your cig lighter then replaced the clock with the radar detector.... just a thought

This project took forever, mainly because it took me forever to order and receive the stuff but here is the finished product:

I used the same hardwire kit as Jack that you can buy from the cobra web-dealer. Convenietly, the fuse box has some extra spade connectors, on top, that you can easily use to hook up the radar. Check out the following website for a awesome step by step process:
