i wanna get a TopGear feel going on. high end type deal like on the show.
and we should have our very own CI reasonably priced car lap times with only 1 upgrade (tires). same rules apply as in TopGear. either go the way they used to, 5 laps and the fastest time is it. or the way they do it now with 5 practice laps and the 6th lap will be your timed lap.

Or we can do what me an my friends do for fun, just like top gear too. Everyone gets X amount of $ to spend on a car and upgrades. Any car goes, just a $ limit. You have to BUY a new car, cant just upgrade what you already have.
The only thing is it wiould be purely on the honor code. There would be no way to tell who spent what on there cars. But I can tell you $ limits are fun and can be really challenging.

How about you have to be willing to gift your car to anyone racing that night in exchange for their car. If your cheating someone can ask for your car, they can look at the mods and there prices and determine if you went over budget. And if you are found to be cheating your banned from the tournament. I think that should put some muscle behind the honor code.hmm. that does sound interesting...

This would be AFTER the race. Sort of like they do in Scandinavia, after the race you can offer someone $2k for their car and they have to sell it to you, that way people dont get crazy and pour $ into the cars. But seeing as how $ in GT5 is easy to come by that wont be a big enough deterrent. So the main point of exchanging cars is to investigate the mods on the car and tally up the cost, then send it back.
