Come buy my DB2 and you're in no questions asked.
I wish, my money went to the car I have. I've put over 4k into it. But to the other guy, I know it's still da9 on the vin, Paden and I discussed it before and I wanted to see if it was still a valid deal. Not trying to be a dick to you, just wanna hear from him.

Well s***, let me go join an R35 GT-R forum and if I'm dedicated enough, maybe they'll let me pretend I own one and rep it in my sig?! :p

I thought the point of this "squad" was for those who are part of what is really an exclusive group in the Honda/Acura world, people who own, or have owned, the '92-93 GS-R.
Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the work you're putting into your car and understand how hard it is to actually find a B17, but the engine alone doesn't make it a DB2.
Hell, even if someone did a full conversion to make it identical to a DB2 in every way, unless it came stamped with those 3 characters from the factory in Japan, it would still be a DA9 in my books (but a damn sweet one at that.)

Not hating, just offering my two cents!

Hell, call it whatever you want, it's your car! But I think that by adding another member to the list who doesn't actually have a *DB2* is kind of misleading, in that it makes it appear there are more of these cars on the forum than they really are.
People need to understand just how rare and special they truly are and maybe when the next DB2 owner sees there's only 9 accounted for on an Integra-specific forum, they'll realize just what they have and take extra care of it, like I, and I'm sure all of us, tried to do.

I see your point, unfortunately I know the owner of the chassis in which my motor belongs, he has converted to crVtec, and I feel its only right to take his place. And it is the motor that makes the difference. The only difference between a gs and a gsr is the motor. And a three digit code on the vin. That's it. The reason it has the different vin, is the motor, tranny and ecu. I even went so far as to hunt down another p61 ecu, as the one for my motor is being used on the crvtec. I'm rebuilding the trans right now that originally came with my block.

And it's not so much the db2 thing I want. It's the saving of the b17 movement that I'm interested in. It's the best motor I've ever owned.

Then start a B17 squad haha. I know whoever owns my buddy's old B17 swapped EJ6 would rep that. :p

And to further my point, this is straight from Paden's own first post:
This thread is for original GSR's, not swapped DA. You guys have enough threads already.
Those aren't the only differences by the way.
Engine, tranny, ecu, cluster, vtec fender mouldings, paint-matched front lip and mouldings, 3rd brake light-less hatch glass, spoiler with LED brake light and of course, the VIN and emblem.
Little things, sure, and you're right, the only mechanical differences are what you mentioned.
Heck, even the B17 on its own is nothing special, it is nothing more than a stroked B16 with a few extra ft-lbs of torque you will never notice, but it is all of these things, on the orginal chassis, that make the DB2 what it is.

New to the forum but just picked up my DB2 earlier today. AGP GSR all stock with ~135,000 miles for 1500. Body is in pretty good shape a little rust around the rear wheel wells but not too bad. AC blows cool but I think might have a leak and is probably over due for a recharge. Interior is in pretty good shape as well. Pics to come!
