i have infinity reference 6x9's 3-way hooked up to a 4-ch amp, and i like them... only paid like $50 bucks on ebay so i can't really hate them. however i heard my friends JL 6x9... they are HELLA crisp clear with good bass and it wasn't even hooked up to an amp but to the receiver.

i think what crutchfield meant is that the rear latch to fold the seats down... one of the metal bars might be in the way if the magnet on the speaker is too big. what i did was basically bend the metal bar around the speaker magnet and stil be able to pull the latch and fold the rear seats.
Dude i just order those same speakers! lol. Paid 60 bucks. Anywho, howd it fit and sound? Did u have to mess up anything to get em in? I was running stock but i got a JVC KD-PDR30 receiver thats commin too so maybe itil help it out a little. Ill post pics of it at the end of the thread when i get all the stuff and install too.

the dude might mean that the holes dont line up..has anyone ever put 6x9s in the back of a coupe?id like a bit more bass =/
Well I know its been done before, just dont know how to do it.

What ever you do, dont mount em in like this, id say thats gonna sound worst than the regular ones lol..crappy install:

And one guy did it on TI, heres the link with pics:http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=15&TopicID=120549&SearchPagePosition=1&search=%226x9%22&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Topic&forum=0&searchSort=dateDESC&ReturnPage=Search

yes you can use the factory grills, and the best speaker to go with by FAR for the money and quality is a Memphis MC92. I carry them at my shop for $129.99 a pair. wonderful sounding speaker, one year warranty, if you have a memphis certified installer put them in (such as the guys at my shop) the warranty automatically goes up to 3 years
