hello,guy i need help i have problem w/chick engine light came on/i have been replace o2 sensor,cat,gascap,and the light is still on.i took to autozon chick the codes it came up p0420

do a search under codes and see what that code is BEFORE u continue to replace everything...

also what symptoms are you having?

i think p0420 is low cat efficency, probally your cat dude

A code P0420 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

* Leaded fuel was used where unleaded was called for
* An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
* The engine coolant
temperature sensor is not working properly
* Damaged or leaking exhaust manifold / catalytic converter / exhaust pipe
* Retarded spark timing
* The oxygen sensors in front and behind the converter are reporting too similar of readings

check those things first. once i noticed my o2 sensor line was cut (accidentally) then used electric tape. and bam the check engine light is off!

chick engine light

my car no symtoms at all drive good the only thing i see is my coolant gage is litter low on temp. on cool side the gage on at the center and the catalyst converter is new,o2 sensor. thank ya
