Hah Yep I am aware. Going to be a lot of hours going in to that project, going to be very thirsty.

Going threw more pics on my phone to clean it out. If anybody was wondering why I got rid of my yokohama s.drives after only 2 track days with them here is your answer:

I know my inexperienced driving and alignment played a role in tearing those tires up, but still sketchy for me.

Hah yeah. Thats sort of what happens to 300 tread wear tires when you put them on a car that is basically stock suspension, put a newbie driver, and push the car to 2.18 at BW13 CW lap after lap.

The tires were scary sounding too. I don't have my fastest laps recorded, but here is a 2.20 lap to give you an idea of how much they screamed at me:

Ignore the sloppy lines and such, it was my first time.

Haha man after watching that video again, I sucked so bad. Not that this one is much improvement:

Well as you can tell in the second video I don't, because my phone was acting up and isn't the best for recording.

The first video with the gps and stuff is an app for an iphone called 'harry's lap timer'. It is an awesome app. It is my buddies phone though and I didn't get a chance to use it at the raceline event. My phone has trackmaster app, but my phone kept freezing and shutting off when I tried using the app, so after not being able to record my first 2 sessions I had to just use normal video. But yeah that harry's lap timer is awesome and really helped me improve from my first time.

By the way, If anyone knows of a good deal(new or used) on a race bucket seat, let me know. Looking to spend around 300-350. Rails do not matter as I am going to end up getting the pci brackets anyways.

Got bored and decided to pick up some dry ice to remove the sound deadening. 4 Hours later all the sound deadening and rubber/foam matting is out of my car! Finally. Carpet and seats are back in as well. I will post pics later of the finished product. Still have to clean up the little remaining goo with some goo gone and scotch pads, but thats another day. Oh and in case anyone was wondering, all the sound deadening + the foam matting on the fire wall weighs 28 lbs total.

Yeah it adds up. Saves you more weight doing that than buying a cf hood.

And yeah, The more you cover it, the easier it is to take off. It was actually JUST enough ice to do the entire car. It was 18 lbs of dry ice from albertsons. I am sure I could have done it with a little less, but I figured might as well have too much than not enough.
