Changing license plates

Hello all,

Just bought my '91 Integra LS a week ago, and was finally able to get my title and plates this morning. I came home, grabbed a screwdriver and my plates, and went out to change them. To my surprise though, they're not very easily accessible. Anyone mind explaining to me how I get access to the bolts?

They should just be "there". There's nothing blocking access unless it's been changed drastically.
That's what I'm thinking too, I'm physically in front of my car at this very moment staring at my plates, trying to see any confusion there could be from an oem setup. Easier than getting dressed, two 8mm bolts per plate on mine, easy off, easy back on. Just did it myself to see if it gave any trouble. None. Pics would do wonders on this one:nopics:

My mounting brackets are completely rusted out, I could bend them and eventually break it off. We had to ziptie the temp. tag and bend the brackets up with a hammer :/ It'll be fun when my tag comes later this month..

I think you have some type of bolt cover that makes it look like it is just a "button". I say take a flat screwdriver and slip it between where the plate's bolt holes are and the bolt and the cover should come off.
