Car won't start after thermostat install

I don't think anything could have shorted out from having coolant on it, however I do think that it's possible the wires could be loose or disconnected around there.

make sure the groung thats on /in the thermostat housing area is tight with out the ground hooked up it wont crank...or it could have gotten so hot it locked the motor up

Well if you're absolutely certain all of the wiring is good to go, remove the starter and have it tested.

prozon, ive seen coolant cause a short before, but it was on a live connection on a humvee when i was in the army lol

Update!.....So i put a new Main Relay and still wouldn't turnn over. I rechecked all my wires and thought they were all connected,till I saw a diagram of the starter on a thread. I saw that it has a blk/wht wire that connected to it. I looked at my starter and it wasn't there. I found the wire reconnected it and finally it cranks now but still won't start. I tried to jump it thinking it may not be getting enough juice. Still nothing,so I bought some starter fluidd and sprayed into the throttle body and still nothing. Question now is could it be my fuel pum? If so where's it located and how difficult would it be to remove? Thanks everyone for your help so far I've learned a lot from you all and I hope to keep learning from all of you guys

Weren't you the one that I told you to check that wire on the starter? -_-

If you sprayed starting fluid and it wouldn't fire, then it's not a fuel issue. Concentrate on spark. Distributor or ignition.

yeah its a fuel problem spark problem now, if it was a fuel problem then when you sprayed starter fluid it would have cranked even if it didnt stay started. have you pulled your plugs? checked for corrosion on your hot wires?

Ya ya Prozon :) guess I missed that one wire lol. D I've checked my plugs and plug wires and they are good. Today ima pick up a new cap and rotor see what that does. I swear Autozone must be tired of seeing me by now lol

Runnin low on funds atm so gotta wait till Friday to get a new dizzy cap and rotor. Other than that still can't get it too start. I just wish I had everything I want done to her done already but thered be no fun in that :).

lol you buy enough stuff from the same person and things that havent been accepted into their inventory gets sold on the side for massive discounts, i got sold a gasket set, head bolts and a water pump for my ex's car for 30 bucks, the gasket set was 90 by its self

stolen....
u prob blew your main fuse...if its not cranking or even clicking then im going to assume that....did u get anitfreeze on your starter...possibly shorted out your starter
