car shuts off

Did you check the spark plugs? And I'd also take one of your plugs out and look on the plug for a melt mark. And that means your wires are miss firing so I'd replace them. Change your cap and rotor to. If none of that works get your timing checked.
edit. Will it run if you give it gas? Try . And if oit does will it bogg. When starting it?

You said it shuts off when you start it that means one of three things fuel spark and air. Maybe your fuel pump is shot or ur fuel filter is clogged. Try taking off or air filter and running it.

sean and ryukkid are right, the fuel filter could be clogged. What I have seen happen is that the car will start fine, then die. When you go to restart it, the dirty filter could be passing just enough fuel to get it to start but then die. Try the simple things like that first. The filter is right on the firewall and not too expensive to replace, and even if its not the filter, its always a good idea to do it because something as simple as that can give you a huge headache. Check the air filter too and if its filthy try running it without it like was mentioned. Let us know what you find.

If the Fuel filter is a year old and it was brand new. Then it's not the fuel filter. I had this problem before mine was the fuel pump was shorting out (water leak in the trunk) but could be fuel pump or fuel relay is my guess but I would check those first.

Sean I don't think it's the spark plugs if it was? it be misfiring.

Did the 1993 Integra had the resistor box like the older civic?

Another cause could be a vacuum leak. Maybe it stalls out due to the leak but once it starts, it's warmed up enough to expand the hose (or whatever the leak is coming from) and seal the leak.

It's a stretch but worth a shot. Best way to find out is grab a propane tank and a hose. Get the car started and spray the gas around your hoses and engine. It will either get really low or die out when you add the propane to the leak. It's a lot safer then it sounds.

Let's spray flammable gas into hot confined spots lol. I heard that to check for those leaks get a fogger/smoke machine and see where/if the smoke comes out , thats your leak. But x2 on a leak, otherwise, see if you have any CEL codes for misfires.
