Cam Questions/Suggestions

To touch on the subject without starting a new thread, I'm curious about the tuner 1's for myself.

I have a guy who's selling them for $120 and he's throwing in a DC header for free, which I can sell for $60 no problem, so I'm really paying $60 for the cams, which is obviously a steal of a deal. My question is, is it worth it? The cams have ~20k miles on them, which concerns me because, myself included, people can do stupid shit over the coarse of 20k miles. I'm more concerned with them being damaged and me not being able to tell.

Ahh so you were the one cole found em for haha. He was asking me about them. Check them for grooves, marking, or wear and such, that's abotu all you can do. I decided nto to run them, went with something a bit higher up.

A legit all motor build, I'm on Skunk2 Pro Series 1's now. They're basically stage 2 cams it seems.

ITR.... I wish
So say I went with a Brian Crower Stage 2 Or 3 cam, I would have to tune for it? Are BC good cams? And How much of a Power Increase would I see? Cause Im not gonna drop 400 in a new set of cams if it dont bump at least 20+ HP. And Ive always been curious about Toda Vtec Killer cams... If you have vtec, and put em in, Do you still have vtec? Not that it really matters cause I dont have vtec but just a curiousity question.

From what I've heard cowers are good cams. The toda basically make vtec run constantly. But all I really know about those two.

Also I'm looking for some new cams as well. You guys still got a set laying around? Skunk preferred :)

OP, what does your new All-Motor setup consist of? Hopefully some really high compression in order for those cams to actually function properly. I have been toying around with the idea of building an all motor B once my 4dr teg goals are met and car is kinda put on back burner

Dude you got the alpha header!!! How do you like them?! I like your engine set up kinda close to what I've been thinking about doing. Have any dyno sheets by chance?

Crower cams and Brian Crower cams are 2 completely different companies.
