Cam Gears? whats a good brand for my teg?

..ahh yes, we have a fine Acura tuner among us. TODA racing is always the way to go.

ok, i/h/c/e on my teg.. what would be the point of me even getting cam gears? advantages over the stock ones, i've never really heard anything good about them besides u can adjust them and i wouldnt know what to adjust them for, but i've always never heard anything bad, can someone please fill me in on what these actaully do? thanks alot!!!!!!

hmm.. i just find it difficult to find anything on H-T, they have alot of good info, but when ever i ask something it seems like i never get the answer i am looking for, whre as here is a small community and we all kinda have a feleing what we are asking..but if anyone can kinda answer me or lead me in a good direction about cam gears that would be ..... rad?..lol

skunk2 are the way to go. avoid AEM cause they slip and toda cause they cost you a years savings......another thing cams and camshafts are the same thing

but no one has still really answered, why are cam gears such a big deal and all this hype about them? whats so great, what do they do over stock ones?

they can adjust advance or retard on to the cams for better power.

The only advantage is that you can adjust. When you go and dyno tune your car for the most amout of power, it is just another means of gaining that extra HP by advancing or retarding the intake and exhaust timing. You can also kinda choose where your powerband will be by either increasing or decreasing cam overlap. As for hype, idk why there is so much. All they do is adjust and can be a part of you engine bay theme. For a I/H/E setup, with doing no further heavy mods, cam gears are not nessary. I hope I answered your question.
