burning too much gas

so i got a crap 94 teggy that needs lots and lots of TLc and slowly working on it, anyways. i have to use 93 because everything burns in a day...literally. 87,89 gone, 91 ok. i got a whole new exhaust with out a cat because that was clogged. it helped but i still have to use 93 on a regular LS engine. what can this be

Full tune up: ignition cap & rotor, spark plugs & wires, adjust valve lash, fuel filter, PCV, replace primary O2 sensor.

^ basically ideal for a used car you just bought. Gotta be sure it's in working order and this way you do. It's part of the process to narrow down issues along the way.

i have a 2000 ls im only getting about 270-280 to 10.5 gal
making wonder why its so low i was getting almost 40mpg in my civic with everything wrong with it
i calculated only 25 mpg in the ls

Automatic or manual and 25 isn't bad for these cars... Depending on if it is city or highway and what speed on the highway

its a 5 speed i drive about 80% highway i just did a fresh tune up fuel filter plugs dizzy ect after cat o2 short ram intake and magnaflow muffler

its an ls i avrage 70-80 mph i washoping to get around 30 mpg. it rev around 3500 at 80 i normally shift around 3-4k i some times hop on her tho up to 7k i have noticed a slight milage increase since i put the sri on it
