Cheating? How. Take that somewhere else. Haha. I've heard spray called cheating, but a motor swap? Cmonnn. Hahaha.

Edit: and about the b18 not fitting, that's a load of shit. B16/18 blocks are the same. I've seen ls swaps in G1s.

look into a ZC head. I just met a guy today that had his D with a ZC head on it
The D16A1 head is the same as a ZC. The cams, intake and ECU are different. From what I've gathered, the ZC cams are slightly off from the USDM cams. You'll either have to use the ZC cam and crank gears OR use the 5mm pins to get it timed correctly.

ok so I have done a write awhile ago that covers several basics of the d16a1 because of there being so many questions about it and there being a lack of knowledge about it.

Let me sum it. Its just a typical d series block with a unique dual cam head. By that I mean, any d series pistons or rods will swap in. I am running 11.1 compression pistons and eagle rods in mine for example.

ZC cams are the easiest to find and the easiest mod by far though. You can find a pair for about 60 and swap them right in without needing to redo lash or timing. But there are several cams out there that are made(i.e. Delta, Crempos, Nippons)

As for not finding parts.. Yeah it is harder because you cant go googling for parts. If you find parts for a d16a6.. it will work for the d16a1(minus cams)
