blacking out tail lights

My buddy and I sat down for an hour the other day.
material and tools we used:
5% window tint
towel
squeegee
water spray bottle
heat gun
exacto knife
various sockets.

we tool out the rear tail light and laid it on the ground. Where we then preceded to wrap the tail light.
We keep having a few or unable to continue with out a lot of wrinkles where the tail light bends. 94 teg 2d. I've watched a few videos online, but i wasn't able to mimic what i saw. Am i missing something?

Never tinted with the film, but alot of people use the spray on tint:


More coats=darker tint.

just another suggestion though..
i have used red tint on my amber corners, i just made it soapy with shampoo and water and squeegyed from the inside out.

your suppose to use lamin-x for that cuz it works and holds up better or go get the vht night shade(thats what i did)
idk bout window tint cuz that seems weird/odd no offense

I would say use the spray...
But dont the cops bother you for doing this? Also too many out there zoning out behind the wheel....you know they are going to say they didnt see the brake light. No sense in getting rear ended out there for looks.

i have a 3rd and no cop issues yet. but im also getting a license plate frame that lights up and flashes red when you brake just for security against those ppl sleeping behind the wheel

That plate frame could also be another reason for the johnny Q laws to mess with you as well...

Tinted lights = rice, in my opinion. Thanks for posting though. Helpful for those who dig this style

how would that be an issue with the license plate? jw
its the same as your dodge rams with the brake light LED rails on their bumper.. idk

any ya im looking for the red tint to do on my tails instead cuz if its dirty or super bright they reflect off and make the tails blacker

Idk, they pull you over for anything and they could maybe call it a distraction; I've never been a huge fan of extra bulbs in the rear

what it is.... the cops will call it an obstruction of view in clearly seeing state issued lic. plates. The frames arent supposed to cover any part that shows the state name or lettering on the plate at all. They claim they cannot tell what state it is issued from smh. I see guys near me getting snagged daily for these infractions (add ons to a traffic violation) just a reason to pull you over and search your car...
