Real Good!
been working and weather has sucked the last two days.

Got the tires off the wheels, sanded down the curve marks. then stripped the clear coat off so i would have to sand for hrs :pardon:

Plan was to just polish the face but got some paint stripper in between the spokes witch sucked, so now im gonna paint that part either back or charcoal gray.

Well heres some pics and vid of the progress so far.

after a few minutes of applying the paint stripper the clear coat begins to come off

some video

This is the process imma take on them:
1.tires off wheels
2.sand curved marks off
3.apply paint stripper wait 10-15 minutes and do it again 2 more times
4.mask off the face off the wheel paint in between the spokes(not sure if black or gray)
5.take a "mouse" sander to the face off the wheel
6.sand by hand with 500,1000,1200 and then 2000 grit sand paper
7.polish the face off the wheel with Mothers Wheels polish (with drill)
8.mount/bal new studded tires

damn thats alot of chrome lugs! nice. yea you should black them out... possibly a real light chrome red??
thanks man I really liked the color of the Volk t37? wheels, thats what i went for, thought the deep blue lugs would compliment nicely :)

took the teg to the muffler shop to get some gaskets replaced

then started on the wheels again, after thinking aboutit decide to do charcoal gray in betweent the spokes has two half cans already so i didnt have to buy another car.

here they are after they been sprayed 2-3 times

un-taped them and took a "mouse sander" to start with

after 500grit

then by hand the rest

after 1000grit

after 1200grit

after 2000grit

started to apply polish with drill, you can see it changes from a white paste to gray witch means its working :)

after applying the polish twice you end up with this, not too bad. im sure if i had air tools to do the sanding it would be alot better but for what it is not too bad.

thats it for now, still need to paint around the lug holes, should of done if before but didnt think about it :pardon: next up is the tires when they come in.....(didnt get ordered FML)

8-bit

looks good, but why not finish polishing before you painted the insides? Works both ways I guess, but imo it would just be easier to finish polishing and not have to worry about hitting the fresh paint at all.

Looks good though, snap some shots of the whole rim in daylight, curious to see how it all turned out.
