Bad Gas Economy & Dropping the Gas tank?

So my car has been getting some bad fuel economy recently. i had recently changed the fuel filter, it ran normal again for a short while and then bogged up again (had about quarter tank).

I'm guessing I have a bunch of shit in my gas tank thats being sucked up and clogging up the new filter? Any opinions and help on how long and how difficult it is to drop the gas tank out of a 90 Integra RS? been told its gonna be a few hundred to drop and flush out professionally, but I'd rather save myself the money and do it myself.

Well new development. Went to drive to work today and the car drove like normal, but the only difference is the temperature. i live in LA, and when its hot, shitty mileage, but when it is cold outside, like it was this morning, my car performed as if she was new, good response and mileage. So its performance is based on the outside temperature, so it may be more than my filter/gas tank?!

If my gas gets to low my injectors get clogged with shit. I need to drop mine too, but I'm not sure how hard it would be

Its not too bad to drop it, took me roughly 2 hours to drop the tank, replace the pump and raise it again...minus the time of having new bolts made for the straps since the old ones were rusted out so badly.

Any links on instructions on how to do it? I can easily get a whole day to myself to try this. I'd have to put the car on 2ton jacks most likely, so I'll have to borrow some parts from a friend. And have some spare canisters of gas

why did you drop the tank when their is a cover under your rear seat?

before you go into the major pain in the ass that is dropping the tank, do a full tune up.
Replace spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil change etc

there is no reason to pull the tank. If its been sitting pour some paint thinner in it, change the filters, put good gas in it, and run it.
