It doesn't matter if the tranny is OBD1 or OBD2, it is all the same bolt pattern. Hell is it the same bolt pattern for all B-Series. So yes it will work. As for the clutch, the clutch mounts to the flywheel which is attached to the block, not the tranny, so why would it matter what trans it is? Ignore the mixed reviews, the people saying it won't work have no idea what the hell they are talking about. OEM and Exedy part numbers are the same for both.
Short answer: The clutch and tranny will work.
90-91 cable trans have a different spline, so not all be series are the same.i dont know how it is for G3s...but i know on the G2s there are 2 different splines...you have to get the clutch kit that is TRANSMISSION specific..flywheel is the same all the way around, the clutch kit (primarily the clutch disc) is what's specific. so w/e the transmission is, that's the clutch kit you order
:thumbs upI was talking about obd1 and obd2 tranny's which is what he asked about. Maybe I should have specified that more. Either way thanks for correcting me. Only human, can't have all answers be perfect. I forgot about the obd0 trannys having different splines too so thanks for the reminder.
