Added note, anyone who refers to nitrous at "NOS" automatically loses credibility. Thanks a lot, Fast and the Furious. Ever since that stupid movie, everyone throws the word "NOS" around in hopes of sounding like they know what they are talking about. "NOS" is a brand of Nitrous. It's like calling all soda "Coke" and trying to not sound like a stupid redneck.
"Nitrous Oxide System"

Regardless, he wasn't trying to sound smart he was just being stupid. He does that a lot if you look at his posts.

the rookie comes out swinging!!! I love it. Welcome. We like you already. If you're ever in Colorado, you're going to get a warm welcome from all of MHI.

Well i guess ill start off with the cat, and if that doesnt fix it ill try the piping and muffler, or should i just do it all at once? i dont know if it would be more in labour to replace one part at a time... let me know what you guys think.

The engine doesnt continue to rev after i take my foot off the gas, when it loses power it just loses power, i have not stalled the car one since i started driving it a month ago despite it's problems losing power.
Don't just start replacing parts.
Take 15 minutes to read up on how to pull the code and do it. Just throwing parts on the car may not solve the problem.

I think i would probably be on the side of the road by now if it was a Ford lol. But anyways, it is still running and driving so ill just keep driving it until it does something because i simply cannot afford a newer car right now or even repairs, and i would rather not remain afraid of it and not drive it.

The clutch is perfect though, ive driven it on long 1 hour trips about 4-5 times already and it goes like snot without hesitation during the whole trip and it seems like its something that happens when im going at lower speeds. I really think it has to be a problem that is not related to the tranny too because its only the accelerator that will not work sometimes when you press on it, only for a few seconds and it jumps back into giving the engine gas, but if anyone has any more ideas please bring it forward it will help with my mission to diagnose this problem. I want to keep this car for awhile, and i hope i get to.

Maybe you could try driving it around until it starts to bog, then immediately shut it off and pull one of the plugs. If the plug smells like gas, or gas is visible on it, you're not getting spark. Maybe just pull each one, because it might be an individual cylinder. When was the last time you changed the cap/rotor and plugs/wires?

The last time is by the last owner maybe, but most likely not. The past week and a half it hasnt had any problems though but i know it may still do it if i drive it more. But I am going to save up for the muffler/cat and the other thingy and just replace them. It has to be the cat, thats just my strong educated guess, and if that isn't it.. well.. its still running!. I will possibly give what you suggested a shot. Thanks.

I would do a basic tuneup, and replace the fuel filter for sure. I have seen cars act really weird when the fuel filters plugged, and according to the repair manual, these cars will even throw a code for the fuel system if the filters plugged. so try that. its only a 20 dollar part and it probably needs to be changed anyway. Couldnt hurt....

Well cool thing, I am having the exact same problem. Well everything except the muffler deal. Just a loss of power. It happens in all gears. It's kind-of like a sputtering problem when I accelerate but it only happens sometimes. It does seem like the problem is getting worse though. My car is also just shutting off while idling, but ive noticed its only when im in neutral? Dont know if thats relevant. Anyway, to the OP, did you figure anything out? And to anyone else do you think there would be any difference between the two?

It seems like you've got a similar problem. Even though I sold the car i noticed before i sold it, it would sound like it was going to stall when I was starting and stopping downtown but it never did that to me. Now I have a 1992 Acura Legend, with a V6 standard. I had to share, I'm so happy with it. Anyways if anyone has had a similar problem with their transmissions and losing power in their honda or acura, please post your fix and results, or symptoms of the current problem that has not been fixed yet.
