I don't believe in 2012. It's just another year.
I am sceptical as well, but there is some simple scientific fact that cant be ignored.
In that year 2 NEO's(Near Earth Objects) have the possibility to come close enough to earth to cause an impact. I forget there names, if they dont hit, it will be one HELL of a sky show 8)
2012 is also the peak of the solar cycle, with the peak of the solar cycle comes solar flares. A big solar flare (like those that have hit prior to our technology boom, one hit in the time of the telegraph and caused massive damage to that.) will cause chaos on our society. You know what a EMP is? Thats what a solar flare gives off, imagine that on one entire face of the earth. Even a moderate flare will take down some satellite systems, and thats no good. Peak solar cycles also mean more heat, you think its hot now... lol
Thats just fact right there, that doesnt include any of the spiritual stuff, That stuff doesnt mean a thing to me. I find it funny that AFTER something tragic occurs people find the religious text talking about the event. Um hum...
Must say though, the Mayan calendar has been strangely accurate for today's society, let alone a early society. So that is slightly peculiar that a perfectly accurate calender now ends on a certain date. But hell, they could have just ran out of time and just called that date the end. LOL.
The scientific fact is what interests me. The Mayan's I only pay attention to because of the track record of that calender cant be ignored. So if it is 2012, cool, if not, thats fine. LOL.
